This hotel sits in the middle of a riverside park in Cincinnati, re-purposing the surrounding area as a central hub for large festivals and social gatherings.  The building program opens up its public amenities by lifting itself up to sit alongside an existing pedestrian bridge, allowing easy access from across the river to the park and festivities.  The building itself is wrapped by an "accordion-like" fabric that opens and folds to allow or restrict daylight into each individual space depending on a number of factors including:  sunlight exposure, viewpoints, room occupancy, motion, and guest preference.
