As part of a project commissioned by the Mayor of Quincy, MA, KVA was tasked with designing the facade and courtyard engagement of a proposed city center garage. The design is intended to function as a loggia concept, cultivating a central, flexible space for gatherings such as farmers markets and outdoor art exhibits. I was personally tasked with building the working model at 16" = 1'-0" scale, the process of which included radical use of the laser cutter to represent the proposed perforated metal facade. This is a working model, images taken with an iphone. More to come at a later date.
