The overarching idea behind the form and layout of the building is the psychological stages of learning.  These awareness stages created four large spaces dedicated to their corresponding steps of learning:  intrigue, exploration, understanding, and reflection.  The walls of the spaces are punctured by "holes" in each space in varying density depending on user's outside awareness with respect for reading comfort levels.  These wall "holes" would have an interesting light interaction with the outside world and the interior spaces. This relationship reflects poetically with the psychological steps involved with each space.
