My first work experience was with D+W, a small 4-person, modern residential firm.  It felt like a family.  In a way it embodied everything I was looking for out of architecture:  large budget projects, easy to work with clients, modern aesthetics, and residential structures.  What I didn't know was that it would spark my interest in construction practices and problem solving for the rest of my career.
